I ordered the noodler flex Ahab pen online from top of the chain, which was one of the only Ontario retailers of this pen that I could find. I have a few fountain pens and wanted to try a flex nib fountain pen (I usually use dip when working with a flex nib). Given the price I was not expecting a fantastic pen but I was expecting an "okay" pen. I did not receive an "okay" pen.
When the pen arrived it was slightly greasy and had (and still has) an unpleasant and pungent cheesy smell which I have been unable to get out. The converter was greasy and there appeared to be a yellow hued oily residue and black fibers in it. There was also a small crack in the converter. I wondered if the pen had been used before or if the pen was manufactured this way. Moreover, the noodler logo is off-centre on the pen clip.
Overall, I am not pleased with the pen.
