On the fence with this one.

This is my first time using Macduffs shave soap. The base is amazing. Some of the smoothest shaves I've had. It is very easy to lather, goes on great, and leaves a decent post shave feel.
Now for why I'm on the fence. The scent. This is unlike every other tobacco scented soap I have, (and I have a lot!) This isn't like opening a fresh pouch of tobacco. At first sniff from the tub and it smelled like, to me, a dirty ashtray filled with honey. Please, don't let that description fool you. The magic comes when building lather. The Butterscotch really comes into it's own, the coffee pops up, and the tobacco mellows out, reminding me of the way the leaves smelled hanging to cure in the drying kilns on my friends tobacco farm at the end of summer.
It's a unique scent, not for everyone, but I firmly believe this will continue to be in my rotation.

Not the best, but the worst I've ever bought

Soap base is legit and slick. Reminds me a lot of the Ariana & Evans base. Can take a lot of water and turns into a shiny icing.

Scent is a great gourmand that I can see myself keeping in the den through Christmas.

I'll grab more from this vendor 100%
