Stirling Soap Co. | I, Rich Moose - Shave Soap

$25

Scent Description: Based on an iconic shave soap scent that is no longer available, this is a scent we've had so many requests to do. Nothing can ever replace an original, but we really feel that the dry-down in this one just about nails it. As you might expect, this scent has green, bergamot, rosemary, lemon, orange and coriander for top notes. In the middle are notes of geranium, lavender, clove, and cedar. The base consists of moss tonka bean, and patchouli notes.

Ingredients: Beef Tallow, Stearic Acid, Aqua (Distilled Water), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Potassium Hydroxide, Parfum (Fragrance), (Vegetable) Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) Fruit, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Fruit Oil, Cocos Nucifera Fruit Juice (Coconut Milk), Lanolin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lactate

Sizes:

Shave Jar: ~5.8oz

Pretty Dang Close!

So... I own the original now-discontinued Sir Irisch Moos shave soap as well as the still-available Sir Irisch Moos fragrance. In its original form, the fragrance has a little more detail and freshness compared to the soap.

I Rich Moose shave soap does a nearly perfect impression of Sir Irisch Moos Eau de Toilette in all its brilliant spicy-aromatic-green glory... Comparing the two side by side, I'd say Stirling's soap base lets far more of that fragrant detail through than the original product's soap base did. The Stirling version might be stronger than the original soap, too. If you're looking for the SIM shave experience but can't afford black market prices for one of the original shave sticks, go with I Rich Moose. It'll scratch the itch!
