I picked this soap up in my last order and when I received it and sniffed the bar I immediately wanted to use it. The scent wasn't what I was expecting; it has more of a scent of kirsch and black forest cake with a hint of baking spices. Though as I'm wearing down the bar more of the baking spice scent is coming out. It's possible that Stirling did the same thing here as with some of their other soaps (I believe it was a peppermint bark one) where the outer layer has a different scent than the core, but both compliment each other, giving you two scents from one bar.
The only caveat is that it's a "messy" soap. Like most of their other soap bars, it's dark brown in colour and will "bleed" brown in the bath or sink if you use it there. But it's worth it for how good the soap is and the wonderful scent. Just be mindful of that if you plan on using it as a hand soap if guests are over.
