NOTE: Albion Of The North is a VERY Complex blend, it is not straight up Maple Sugar. That is one of many notes that make up this accord. We know with this we are asking a lot of our customers noses. We really wanted to create something special and unique for our Canadian friends and customers. A lot of time and energy went into this fragrance. So to be clear, there is nothing simple about this fragrance. Fragrance enthusiasts will really appreciate this for sure!

Albion of the North
Are you ready for a truly EPIC take on Fougère? Meet Albion of the North, our latest “built from the ground up” (pun intended), hand blended Fougères! Albion of the North takes that great, green classic and turns it on its head beginning with that top noted kiss of Canadian Maple Sugar! The other notes whirl in a crisp evergreen, Northern whirl of the great white woods; Juniper, Birch, Cedar, Douglas Fir, Pine Needle and Pine. Then there is the earthy floor of the forest; Clary Sage, Vetiver, Hay, and Oakmoss. Other top notes include Tonka, Lavender, Bergamot, and Petitgrain! Crisp, clean, sweet, green and enchanting!
Albion of the North?
I know, it sounds like a Jethro Tull album or maybe a new show on HBO but I assure you it is not! The name actually comes from an alternative name proposed for Canada, Albionoria or “Albion of the North”. It’s true, turns out there were quite a few names offered up at the time, but how can you beat Albion of the North, eh? I imagine the national anthem that could have been, “Oh Albion of the North…”.
Speaking of what could of been, we now get to the label. This very epic sci-fi art is an homage to “Metropolis”, the utopian city devised by King C Gillette himself in one of his lesser known books, The Human Drift! Not sure if “lesser known” is the right way to put it considering many of you are probably unaware of any of them! But I digress. Metropolis was to be located in the vicinity of Niagara and the US, crossing country lines. I bet few know of Mr Gillettes visions of utopia as most things of this nature are often swept under the rug by “Big Razor”…but not on my watch. With this collaboration between Top of the Chain & Phoenix Shaving, it just seemed very fitting to take this opportunity to shed some light in only that way we do best!
