The most notable feature of the Merkur 1904 classic safety razor, also known as the 42c, is the length of the handle. The length of the handle is just over 3″ and although may seem odd for those who are accustomed to longer handles, the short handle makes for a very comfortable shave providing you excellent control and helps provide that ‘classic’ feel.
