Description

Special Edition for Cosmoprof 2018 Exhibition.

Shaving Soap in Aluminum Tin, with Opuntia Ficus-Indica (Prickly Pear Extract). It creates a Protective Film and gives a Deep Moisturization. Triple milled hard soap, to be used with a shaving brush. A REAL traditional shave for a soft, nourished and invigorated skin. Each soap has a UNIQUE formulation, conceived and then developed following the direct requests and expectations of those, like you, who want the maximum comfort during their shave routine, without quality compromises.

The soap is worked in a extruding machine and then hand cutted. The logo on the soap is “hammered” as it was used to do at the beginning of the last century, before the advent of printing machines. A large soap (90 mm diameter), inside an aluminum tin enriched with metal label.

With pride we can define the product  100% MADE IN ITALY in its totality.

I have several Saponificio Varesino soaps and they all perform excellently, this being no exception. The scent is somewhat reminiscent of Creed Aventus to my nose because of the pineapple note, but it’s also quite different. It’s a bit more bright and doesn’t sit on a woody base. I like the scent a lot and the post-shave feel is just fantastic.

Not going to praise SV in general, it’s known to be one of the best soap bases out there, and this particular one is even better than the other ones. It is also the best smelling one, and I have almost all of them lol! I paired it up with Creed’s Green Irish Tweed, but I can see it working very well with Aventus as well. Great buy!

The performance of this soap did not surprise me because it’s always top shelf but the scent surprised me; it was amazing! I loved the 70th anniversary scent but this could become my new favourite. Definitely Creed Aventus inspired.

You would be hard pressed to find a better performing triple milled shaving soap than SV. Yes, it is expensive but it lasts a long time so you get a good bang for your buck per shave. The Opuntia scent has a similar profile to Aventus however it is definitely different, with more earthy notes to it.

This is a clean, crisp scent. Very much like Stirling’s Executive Man, but turned up a notch. Fantastic lather, great scent. Not too strong, but definitely present.

Excellent performance and an excellent smell! Very slick, and the scent would work year round (though perhaps it is a better fit for warmer days). The scent has good strength, and I can get enough lather for three or four passes with about a 15 count of swirling the brush on the puck. It’s up near the top of my soap list at the moment (sharing the slot with DG and B&M).

I’ve been using this consistently for a while now … it’s that good. Seems pricey but the quality of this product is worth the price you pay. Performance is of the highest standard. Lather is the slickest I’ve had and the shave is sublime. Definitely lives up to its reputation.
