If you like the smell of wood, I mean do you LIKE the smell of freshly cut wood?

It’s start with a BLAST of balsam fir that will be there for a few minutes and quickly turn into a pur wood scent. To me it’s not the wood in the forest, it’s purely wood in a wood shop. Outstanding one, even if it’s not a complicated scent since it’s basically… well… wood!

Splash from Maol Grooming is truly top notch! One of the best of the best available. Just don’t over do it since it will leave your skin oily. A couple of drop is all you need!

The smell is amazing. I am rating it 3 stars because 1. I find it a bit oily–it takes a very long time to actually absorb into my skin and so takes a long time for my face to stop shining. Additionally, I can’t touch my face for a while afterwards or the oil will get on my hands and then stain things. 2. It is too frosted. It burns my eyes for several minutes after application. Initially I thought it was that I accidentally got some in my eye or right under by eye, but even with careful application and thorough hand-washing so none gets near my eyes, it still makes my eyeballs minty. I haven’t seen other people mention this, so maybe it is just me, but on the other hand, I have a few other menthol splashes and haven’t experienced anything like this. A simple solution would be to ship the menthol separately like some other brands do.
