For Towel Day, the commemoration of Douglas Adams’ authorship of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Barrister & Mann presents our tribute to his brilliant work: 42, a soap that smells of petunias, ambergris, tea, and Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster (lemon sugar). Grab a copy of the Guide, a cup of tea, and your shaving brush; it’s going to be a hell of a ride.

This is an odd one from B&M, the 42 soap is a fantastic scent, complex and uplifting, but for some reason I find in the aftershave the scent is an odd mix of lemon drop and a strange herb. The aftershave performs great, hopefully others enjoy the scent more than I did.

  2. Mark B.

Great year round scent, capped off with the Homage to Douglas Adams. The scent will appeal to a wide range of people and isn’t divisive like some other B&M offerings. The earl grey tea is just barely noticeable and does a lot of flesh out the depth of scent. Don’t forget your towel!

  3. Cesar Babas

This aftershave performs great, but not as great as others I’ve tried out there. Scent wise, it’s a very refreshing floral, and citrusy scent but has an odd smell to me as it lingers on my skin. But don’t panic, it’s still an awesome closer to your shave on a bright summers day.
