From the Vendor:

There is a lot to be said for the beauty of simplicity. Especially in shaving. Many of the so-called advancements over time tried to improve something that did not need improving. We see the beauty in slow shaving: taking more time to not only do it better, but do it by the dint of your own, personal skill.

The same can sometimes be said for scent, or any type of art. It can be impressive to blend a bunch of different and interesting elements. But often the most interesting works take sparse, solitary elements and work fastidiously to blend them to perfection.

Henry Shaw is responsible for Tower Grove Park and the Missouri Botanical Garden in Saint Louis. In that garden, flowers and plants from the Far East coexist to species native to the Saint Louis are. In this scent, reflective of Shaw's oasis in South City, the uniquely distinct smell of yuzu citrus, blended with the unmistakably recognizable smell of rose and the dry, sharp scent of patchouli come together so all three work together in unison to create something greater than the sum of their parts.

Note: Due to legal regulations, alcohol-based aftershaves may only be shipped to the domestically.

I love the scent since it’s very citrusy but I found it a bit greasy on my skin. I don’t know if that’s just me or if other’s have experienced the same. I’m going to have to try their toner and see if that works better.

Chatty Lux is probably making the best aftershaves out there right now. I’m not normally a rose or patchouli fan, but the blend they put together really makes the scents work together and it doesn’t come off floral at all. Couple that with one of the best post-shave results and they’ve got bottled gold.
