Martin de Candre | Savon à Barbe Magellan 200g

The soap base MdC use is phenomenal! Performance is great and a huge bonus for me is that the soap rinses clean with no residue. I feel refreshed after shaving with MdC.
MdC Magellan has a really nice subtle scent that has a mix of some nice spices. I really like it and am really happy with this purchase!

As usual, this soap performs as the best. It is what I compare all other shaving soaps to. The scent of Magellan is spicy and deep, just as I like. My favorite scent so far. Exceptionally impressed!

Magellan is one of two new Martin de Candre soaps (Absinthe is the other) introduced in December 2024 to celebrate their 50th anniversary. I love MdC soaps, so when I saw that Top of the Chain had it in stock, I jumped on it. As with the other ones I own (Original, Fougère and Rose), the performance of this soap is fantastic. The scent of Magellan is subtle and unique, with notes of thyme and spices, with a slightly woody base. It's a perfect soap for the colder months of the year. Although the upfront cost is not cheap, MdC soaps last a very long time, making them relatively inexpensive per shave. And buying from Top of the Chain makes me feel good about supporting a Canadian retailer. Thanks for making this soap available to us.

Another amazing scent from MdC. Phenomenal lather and if my other soap from the brand is any indication, it’ll last damn near forever. Love that we can access this brand in Canada!
