Geo. F. Trumper | Savon à Barbe Rose avec Bol en Bois

The fragrance is wonderful and the bowl is beautiful, and I initially appreciated finding a vegan-friendly shave soap (as someone who isn't strictly vegan, but who tries to limit my use of animal products where unnecessary). Unfortunately, this formulation lathers quite poorly as a shave soap: although slick while it's present, the lather feels very thin and bubbly (not creamy), and it dissipates extremely quickly. I sometimes lather up and then one or two razor strokes later wonder where the rest of the lather's gone! This is regardless of how much soap I load onto the brush or how much water I use. Much as I love the fragrance, I will not be buying shave soaps from this brand again unless they rework the formulation.
